Dear Reader, Most of us, when we talk about our goals and visions, have our minds set on them. We think about them, plan them, work on our mindset, put them on the vision board. But we haven't actually set our hearts on them. And that gap — between what the mind is pointed at and what the heart is truly set on — is where so much of our manifestation efforts quietly dissolve. That's what this week's video is about. And I made it because I've watched too many genuinely committed people exhaust themselves chasing something their heart was never fully in. Not because they didn't want it, but because nobody had ever shown them the difference. Flesh and BloodThere's a song I shared this week for the first time publicly. It's called Flesh and Blood, and it's part of my Meet Me in the Heart album. The story behind it begins in Austria, at a plant medicine retreat, just before the world went into lockdown. Midway through the ceremony, I was asked to come sit at the front, at the table. I'd never been invited to sit there before. My voice is naturally loud, so I'd always stayed in the back. But that night, for whatever reason, the invitation came. And then, maybe two songs later — while the medicine was fully active — I was quietly asked to move back. What that did to me in that altered state was extraordinary. Every wound around worthiness, around deserving, around what did I do wrong — all of it came flooding up at once. I spent the rest of that night on the floor, on a sleeping bag, working through something I hadn't known was still there. And then the next morning, one of the facilitators came to me and said: there's a place for you at the table for breakfast. I found myself sitting next to the ceremonial leader, a master, having breakfast. From the floor to the table in a single night. When I got home and picked up my guitar, the whole song arrived in one piece. I didn't write it. It came through. Master, I sit at your table, to drink from your waters, to become your flesh and blood. It's a song about worthiness — but it's a bit more than that. It's about inviting Jesus into my heart, and the many ways in which I felt unworthy of his love, of spreading his message, afraid of being attacked, mocked or laughed at. And how my heart now belonged to him, and his Christ consciousness now was one with him and the Father. The ceremony cracked something open that night. And what poured in was not just healing — it was a belonging. A sense that my heart now belonged to him, that his Christ consciousness and mine had become one, and that I no longer needed to carry the fear of what people would think of that. The hummingbird singing his praises in my heart — that's not a metaphor. That's how it felt. I hope it finds you at the right moment. WATCH: Flesh and Blood's Music Short → A practice to carry into this weekend: Sit quietly for a moment. Place your hand on your heart. Ask yourself: in what area of my life do I feel most unworthy? Where do I hold back, shrink, or go quiet — not because I lack the ability, but because some part of me still doesn't believe I deserve to be at the table? It might be in your relationships. Your creative work. Your spiritual life. Your sense of purpose. Your capacity to receive love without immediately questioning it. Don't rush to answer. Let it surface on its own. And then, gently and without judgment, ask: what would it feel like to belong there fully? Not someday. Right now. In this body. In this life. Sit with that feeling for at least thirty seconds. Let it be real, even if only for a moment. That moment of belonging, however brief, is not fantasy. It is a memory of what you already are, beneath everything you were told you weren't. Dear Reader, This week, I’ve been sitting with the stories of people who survived the Venezuelan earthquake. I’ve watched several interviews, and more than once I’ve found myself crying — not only because of the devastation, but because of the tenderness, clarity, and humility that comes through when someone has been brought so close to the edge of life and death. There is a way people speak after something like that. The unnecessary falls away. Gratitude becomes simple. Love becomes...
Dear Reader, It’s been ten days now since the earthquake struck Venezuela, my home country. My family is safe, and I want to thank so many of you for the beautiful comments you left last week when I shared how tender it all made me feel. More than a week later, I’m still watching the news more than I normally would. I’m sleeping very little. I’ve watched people walk out of the rubble alive after ten days underground, which still feels like a miracle every time. And I’ve also read about entire...
Dear Reader, I'm writing this from a tender place this week. As many of you already know, a devastating earthquake struck my home country Venezuela yesterday. The place where I was born, where my family still lives, where so many people I love are trying to make sense of what just happened. My immediate family is safe. And I want to say thank you to the many of you who reached out, emails, messages, calls, asking how I was, how my family was doing. That kind of care means more than I can say....
